An archive of TAB shows
appears at Hungercity!
While it's common knowledge
that
The Avett Brothers have one of the most curious
taping policies that still doesn't stop dedicated music
archivist from committing their shows to "tape." And
even though TAB shows are a rare find in the trading
world, when they do show up they show up in troves. Over
20 such shows just popped up at
Hungercity.org. Fire up
your bittorrent client and watch your ratio.
Yet another
great reason to surf with Firefox!
Ever visit a webpage to
watch a band or listen to a song and wish you could
figure out a way to save the file you're enjoying? Well,
fear not
Firefox users because now there is a simple way
to pull off just such a feat.
Fast Video Download is an
add-on for
Firefox which will allow you to save embedded
media files which otherwise would require a lot of net
savvy. It takes a little getting used to to figure it
out, but once you get it nothing is off limits.
Woodsong's
purging their archives?!
Woodsong's Old Time Radio Hour has been hosting
great band's and broadcasting live shows for years. They
also have one of the largest
archives of live shows
around, but lately some of those shows have been
disappearing from their
archives. Maybe their
trying to conserve server space, but whatever the reason
it might be prudent to
journey over that way and save whatever you want to keep.
