This is important. Don't just complain about it, do something. Here's all you need to voice your opinion (if it coincides with mine…)
If you don't agree with the SOPA/PIPA censorship legislation write to your congressperson/senator. If you don't want to put in the effort of actually writing a paragraph feel free to use what I just wrote.
"I'm writing to request that you don't support the SOPA legislation. Censorship of any kind is a serious and severe move for a government (local, state or federal) to make and should only be undertaken in matters of security of the nation (and carefully scrutinized at that). Piracy may indeed be an important issue, but media piracy does not pose a serious threat to the safety of our nation and should not result in censorship of one of the most important and potent sources of information the world has ever known. There are no limits to what the internet could become, it is not the place of our generation to place restrictions upon it. I urge you to vote against the SOPA legislation.
Sincerely,"

It only takes about 10 minutes. (if that) I know this community doesn't normally discuss politics…but this is something that could affect us all negatively. I apologize if you're on the other side of the fence. If you are, please feel comfortable explaining your difference of opinion.
Thank you,
Jeremy
